Apple is certainly going all out for their Apple TV plus by teaming up with other companies. Now Apple TV Plus service will be available for Amazon Fire TV devices. So, now people can access Apple TV plus without buying a bunch of new expensive gear.
Apple has launched its Apple TV plus on Fire TV Cube (second generation) and Fire TV (third generation). Apple is so serious about the Apple TV+ reaching the population that they have announced that by the end of this year Apple TV Plus will also be available on Nebula Soundbar – Fire TV edition, and by the start of the next year, the service will be available on JVC Fire TV. Although it looks like a pretty big leap, it shows just how determined Apple is for its new service.
Apple TV Plus is pretty popular as it is already available on selected smart TVs and several dongles, Fire TV Stick and Roku being two of them. It is being said that the TV+ app interface on the Amazon platform is somewhat similar to the functionality of the Roku. On Amazon platforms, the users can watch all their movies and TV shows purchased by them as well as access their Apple TV plus subscriptions.
If you want to access your Apple TV+ app on Fire Stick, then you simply need to search for ‘Apple TV’ in the app store or you can use Alexa to find the app by saying, “Alexa, find the Apple TV app.” Also, another thing to keep in mind is that users can’t simply access the app through the Amazon Fire TV. Rather they need to login to the Apple TV app using their Apple login credentials. With a stunning 4K HDR playback quality and single subscription that can be shared amongst six people is a pretty sweet deal.
Although users can access all the contents of Apple TV plus on Amazon Fire TV, some features that Amazon gear fails to provide. Even though Fire supports Dolby Vision or Dolby Atoms, the TV app on Amazon Fire TV does not.
If you are trying to access Apple TV on Amazon Fire TV or Roku but can’t, no need to worry as Apple TV will take some time to propagate worldwide.
Now, if you don’t have Amazon gear or Roku then no need to fret because Apple has also launched their app on some smart TVs too. Apple has announced that its TV app will also be available on Samsung, LG, Vizio, and Sony smart TVs.
The app is currently available for specific 2018 and 2019 Samsung models and as for other brands, Apple will soon finalize the details and update. The process to access the Apple TV app on Samsung smart is the same as on Amazon Fire TV. You need to login to your Apple TV account with your credentials. Additionally, Samsung smart TVs also support Airplay so you can project the content from your phone to the screen too.
